Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

The beautifully and unforgettable French region of Cote De Beaune has been revered throughout the centuries, and recognized as one of the key producer's of the world's finest white wines. The region is highly respected as an excellent producer of Chardonnay wines, and the Chardonnay grapes which grow there, on the southern slopes of the Cote d'Or, are packed full of the unique and powerful characteristics of this very special terroir. Interestingly, Cote De Beaune produces more red wine than white wine, despite its white wines being so famous. Aromas of spiced plum, black cherry and a touch of warm earth are trimmed in admirably subtle wood nuances. The super-sleek, intense and wonderfully energetic medium weight flavors possess fine length on the more overtly structured finale. This is both a bigger and more powerful wine than the Teurons that could use better depth but the given that the aging curve of the '19 Mousse should be extended, more complexity should almost certainly develop in due course.

This comes from Bouchard’s 3.36ha monopole at mid-slope between Les Teurons and Les Avaux, just south of the Route de Bouze. Fermented with one-third whole clusters and aged in one-third new casks, the wine is delightful, with a ripe, concentrated blackberry/cherry fruit, a floral edge and a good mineral expression. On the palate the texture is silky, but there is rewarding density here as well. A top premier cru. Drinking Window 2021 - 2029.

Revisited from bottle, the 2019 Beaune 1er Cru Clos de la Mousse is performing brilliantly, bursting with aromas of sweet berry fruit, warm spices and loamy soil. Medium to full-bodied, sumptuous and enveloping, with melting tannins and an ample core of fruit, it's seamless and charming, concluding with a long, expansive finish.
