Old school and unique. Aromas of apples, pineapple and some dried peaches. Wild in so many ways. Reminds me of Laville Haut-Brion, which is gone now. Full-bodied and powerful, with depth and layers. More like a red. 59% sauvignon blanc and 41% semillon. Drink or hold.

Although the estate did not produce a red wine this year, readers familiar with this address can look to the 2023 Bouscaut Blanc with confidence, as it comfortably exceeds expectations. Unfurling in the glass with aromas of verbena, citrus, white fruits and a discreet touch of vanilla, it is medium- to full-bodied, ample and rich, offering a textured mid-palate and a fleshy core of fruit that gives way to a long, mineral and perfumed finish. This is a blend of 59% Sauvignon Blanc and 41% Sémillon.
