The 2023 Brouilly, which underwent 30% carbonic maceration as the stems had good maturity, has a pretty nose, nicely defined, and I probably prefer this to the 2022 tasted last year. The palate is medium-bodied with tart red fruit, crisp and linear, a little Pinot-like in style, with a brisk finish that just needs a little more flesh.
