Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

It is medium straw-gold in color and it races out of the glass with bold notes of preserved kumquats, persimmons, and apple butter, followed by nuances of gingerbread, nutmeg, and manuka honey, with a touch of cashews. The palate comes over as super-sweet and honey-glazed, with just enough freshness and a long caramel-laced finish.

Tasted at the château, the 2007 Château Doisy-Védrines does not achieve the same level of precision as the 2006 on the nose, although there is plenty of botrytis here with scents of melted candle wax and white peach. The palate is vibrant on the entry with impressive weight: hints of orange peel and apricot with a tender, almost understated finish. This improves in the glass, gaining more complexity and nuance and yet never quite demonstrating the sheer ambition as the 2009. Yet I notice even within the limited amount of time at my disposal some melioration in the glass, gaining harmony and tension and so I would not hesitate in decanting this very fine Barsac.

Bright, pale gold. Reticent but pure botrytis-driven aromas of pineapple, fresh apricot, orange, turbinado sugar and vanilla. Rich, suave and very concentrated, with terrific precision and class to the concentrated flavors of stone and citrus fruits, spices and cherry-almond. For all its sweetness and thickness this remains magically light on its feet. Finishes very long and gripping, with a lingering spice character. With 24 hours in the recorked bottle, this wine became juicier rather than thicker and displayed strong lime and coconut qualities. A superb vintage for this property.
Winery Notes
Vivid, quite intense nose with a spicy savoury twist to the sweet expressive fruit. The sweet palate has a nice intensity, with butterscotch and caramel alongside the apricotty botrytis notes. Quite plump and lush.
