The 2022 Rosé 946 displays a deep salmon hue in the glass. Extremely earthy and herbaceous on the nose, it unfurls with aromas of grilled herbs, soil, mushrooms and blood orange. It coats the mouth in rounded, savory intensity, tugging at the cheeks with a pleasant grip. Fermented 50% in Austrian demi-muids, there's a noticeable oak character here, but it is perfectly integrated within the frame of the wine. The finish is long and serious. This is a rare Rosé that I wouldn't be afraid to cellar for a few years.
