The 2020 La Garde has quite a potent nose, one that does not hold back, that briny scent in barrel perhaps accentuated, yet still fresh and focused. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins, well balanced and grippy with a structured, classically styled, graphite-tinged finish. I can see this surpassing many expectations (except those that abide by my notes!)
