There are few regions in the world with stricter regulations in regards to wine production and grape varietals than those found in Bordeaux, France. Open, ripe, forward nose. Nicely concentrated blackcurrant fruit with rich Christmas cake fruit aromas and a leathery touch. This isn’t subtle but it has vigour, structure, a good spicy grip on the finish, a natural sweetness and very good length with a slight St-Estèphe leatheriness. Spicey full wet gravel finish, quite chocolatey.
