Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

Medium- to full-bodied, this has a solid core of fruit and a long and flavorful finish. Focused and tannin-driven with a lovely integration and intensity. There are few regions in the world with stricter regulations in regards to wine production and grape varietals than those found in Bordeaux, France. Here, in the home of the world's finest wines, the type and quality of grapes used is of utmost importance, and the legendary wineries which work on the banks of the Gironde river have mastered the careful art of juice blending to find the perfect balance for their produce. Whilst there are six 'official' Bordeaux grapes, the two key varietals for almost every fine Bordeaux wine are Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, and with good reason. Strong and dark aromatics, blackcurrant, liquorice and salty stones. Juicy and lively on the palate, excellent acidity and freshness. There's something very precise and detailed about the flavours and fine tannins with lots of appealing fleshy berry fruit and licks of both mint, clove and coffee on the finish. Carefully constructed with lots of finesse and nuance. Sleek and streamlined with a lovely lift all the way through and such a long, moreish finish. Excellent quality from this estate that continues to improve.

Bright black cherries, violets, leafy tobacco, and some meaty, iron, and mineral notes all emerge from the 2022 Château Pédesclaux, a beautifully textured, layered Pauillac that has medium to full-bodied richness, ripe, polished tannins, and a great finish. I think it’s certainly as good as the 2018, 2019, and 2020 and is a classic Pauillac from this team that will benefit from 4-5 years and evolve nicely over the following two decades.

This wine from Vincent Bache-Gabrielsen is a blend of 68% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot, and the élevage was in 65% new barrels, a figure which matches (more or less) the percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon in the blend, and 35% second-fill barrels, for 17 months. This is the first vintage in which the wine wears its new and frankly much-improved label. The nose here is all toasted berry, cranberry, tobacco and dark chocolate, which precedes a juicy and charming palate with layers of rose-scented dark chocolate, tobacco and coffee bean, set across a ripe and tightly knit bed of tannins, which support this firm upper layer of spiced fruits. An impressive showing, with texture, depth, vivacity and harmony, this nevertheless needs time for it to all come together. Great length too, with a very complete style, and piles of ripe tannin in the finish. All in all a super result for Pédesclaux, one of the best vintages made here, with real potential. Tasted twice. The alcohol on the label is 14%.
