Always a very deep nose — muscular, with graphite, minerals, cassis and fresh blackberries. A touch of black chocolate, too. Full-bodied, with a good vibration and tension created by a mouthful of ripe, fine-grained tannins. 55% merlot, 43% cabernet sauvignon and 2% cabernet franc. A beautiful Sociando-Mallet. Drinkable now, but much better in three to five years. This will keep well in the next 15-20 years. From a vertical tasting at the winery.
