Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

The best vintage of this cuvee I’ve tasted, the 2010 Clos des Brusquières Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a knockout, traditional wine that offers up wildly perfumed aromas of peppercorns, saddle leather, wild herbs, and roasted meats (among other traditional southern Rhone styled aromas) to go with a medium to full-bodied, structured palate. A blend of 60% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 15% Mourvedre, and 10% Cinsault that is aged in a combination of foudre and concrete, this beautiful 2010 oozes Provencal character, has excellent richness and concentration, chewy tannin, and plenty of length. Give bottles 2-3 years in the cellar, and then drink them over the following 15+ years.

The Rhone Valley of southern France is a particularly fascinating wine region, with a history that stretches back to at least six hundred BCE, when the ancient Greeks first began cultivating vines there. The region itself is split into two distinct sub-regions, with the northern sub-region being famed for its production of exceptional Syrah, Marsanne, Roussane and Viognier wines, packed full of interesting character and expressing the terroir found there. The southern sub-region is home to an enormous variety of grapes, and produces red, white and rosé wines, and some of the world's most famous and adored blended wines. The continental climate of the region is ideal for growing grapes, and the winds which blow from the Central Massif help temper the heat in the vineyards, leading to very ripe fruits holding plenty of flavor.

Châteauneuf-du-Pape, an illustrious wine appellation in the Southern Rhône Valley, France, stands as a vinous icon recognized for its robust red blends. Glass-staining ruby. Intense dark fruit and floral aromas are given depth by hints of licorice and bitter herbs. Brighter on the palate, offering potent red and dark berry flavors and a touch of cherry skin. Smooths out with air, picking up a smoky note and finishing with firm but harmonious tannins and excellent persistence. Let this promising wine age for at least five more years. I also had the chance to re-taste the excellent 2009 here: it was showing an energetic, red fruit-dominated personality, with a sexy floral nuance and supple tannins. The 2007, which I tasted alongside, showed uncommon elegance for the vintage, with intense raspberry and cherry character and a long, sweet finish.

The 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape displayed slightly higher potential last year. Nevertheless, it is an excellent effort exhibiting a deep plum/ruby color, an evolved style for this vintage and elegant, plum, peppery, black raspberry and cherry notes intermixed with herb and loamy soil characteristics. While medium-bodied and pleasurable, I expected more intensity and richness. Drink it over the next decade.
Winery Notes
Blend: 85% Grenache, 9% Syrah, 6 % Mourvedre The average age of the vines is 40 years, with some vines dating back to the early 1900s. All the grapes are hand harvested during multiple passes through the vines. The wine is feremented in cement tanks, lasting anywhere from 3-4 weeks; the cap is punched down and the wine is pumped over. Ageing takes place in neutral wood. The wines are neither filtered nor fined.
