Along with Bressandes, the monopole of the Clos des Meix was among the vineyards the most affected by the frost and rain ; some of the old vines did not survive the frost. The grapes were rigorously sorted, and there was no maceration before fermentation. The wine was not pumped at any point, and was run into cask by gravity. The result of these efforts was delicious, with a rich cherry fruit scented with peonies, peppercorns, and earth. If the texture is light, the silky feel on the palate is pleasant indeed.
