92-94 The 2022 Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru is raised in 50% new oak with 15% whole bunches. This feels a little muted on the nose compared to the other Grand Crus at the moment, despite coaxing from the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with a sapid entry. Good body and weight. There’s slightly peppery red fruit with blood orange and hints of curry leaf towards the finish that has more gusto than the current aromatics. Be patient here – this Clos Vougeot has something up its sleeve.
