Long-term Pre-arrival Items
Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

Tasted blind at the Burgfest 2014 tasting, Domaine de l’Arlot’s 2014 Nuits St Georges 1er Cru Clos des Forêts St-Georges is a wine that I remember Geraldine Godot felt I was a bit mean toward when I reviewed it from barrel. You know, she might be right. Here, it is very pure and winsome on the nose: blackberry, raspberry, ripe Satsumas and just a touch of peach—perhaps the most exotic nose among the flight of Nuits-Saint-Georges tasted here but still in keeping with what you expect. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannin, good substance and density, fresh and lively and perhaps my only quibble being that I would have liked more sustain on the aftertaste. Otherwise, this is another excellent Nuits-Saint-Georges that will give many years of pleasure. Please accept my generous score. Tasted September 2017.

Sufficient black cherry, black currant and mineral flavors are packed into this taut red, yet this is holding back a little. A solid matrix of tannins offers support, while the acidity keeps this focused and long. Finishes with purity and intensity. Shows fine potential. Best from 2019 through 2033. 100 cases imported.

There is a discreet but not invisible application of wood surrounding the intensely floral and notably gamy dark berry fruit suffused nose. There is both good volume and much better mid-palate concentration to the broad-shouldered flavors where the abundant dry extract does a fine job of buffering the firm and slightly rustic tannins that impart a dusty texture to the impressively complex and persistent finish. This should be excellent if you have the patience to wait.

Good full red. Knockout perfume of black raspberry, cranberry, ripe strawberry, crushed stone, rose petal, violet and blood orange.
Sappy and tightly wound, but with more lurking sweetness than the Petits Plets. Today the wine's complex fruits and flowers are dominated by pungent minerality. This very young but very promising wine has the density to support its firm tannic spine and to ensure a slow and graceful evolution in bottle. Finishes with terrific rising length and sappiness.
Winery Notes
With its well-defined character, this wine perfectly illustrates the identity of the Nuits Saint Georges vineyard. Complex aromas of blackcurrant mingled with spicy blackberry are revealed on the nose with, depending on the vintage, darker notes of liquorice, leather and blood orange. The well-built mouth affirms itself with density and strength around a tight structure with rich, well-wrapped tannins. It becomes increasingly seductive over time, which comes from the elegance, intensity and purity of the fruit.
