Long-term Pre-arrival Items
Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

92-94 The 2021 Vosne-Romanée Les Suchots 1er Cru is quite backward on the nose, maybe just missing a little joie-de-vivre at the moment, a bit "sulky" compared to other crus from the Domaine. The palate is much more expressive: edgy red berry fruit, a lovely touch of white pepper and thyme, in fact, you could imagine there being 10-20% stems when in fact, there are none. Persistent on the finish, this Suchots seems to be intending on biding its time.

The first impression is of ripe, plummy fruit with a plentiful nuance of earth, leather, and spice. If the aromas are marked at present with reduction, this will disappear with racking. The texture is ripe and lush, with balanced acidity, supple yet firm tannins, and a finish of impressive length. Winemaker Geraldine Godot vinifies the wine with a significant inclusion of whole clusters, as has traditionally been the style at l’Arlot. The 0.85-hectare plot of Suchots is located up the slope from Dujac.
Winery Notes
Finesse, richness, complexity and harmony all come together and unite to show how complete this exceptional wine is. An iron hand in a velvet glove, it describes the fullness of the Pinot Noir with exceptional distinction, expressing a taut nervosity before resonating with richness and elegance. Its aromas evolve harmoniously with age. When young, the wine offers floral notes mingled with raspberry, morello cherries and blackcurrant. With time the aromas evolve and develop towards spices, liquorice, undergrowth and leather.
