The 2018 Volnay Village mingles notes of smoky blackberries and cassis with rich soil tones and spices. Medium to full-bodied, rich and fleshy, it’s generous and enveloping, built around succulent acids and powdery tannins. More broader-shouldered than the charming and immediate 2017, this will merit a bit of bottle age.
