The 2013 Mazoyeres-Chambertin Grand Cru has more intensity on the nose compared to the Charmes-Chambertin with wild strawberry, blueberry and a touch of iris developing in the glass. The palate is structured on the entry, more withdrawn than the Charmes at the moment, but it has real weight and presence on the complex, slightly masculine finish. This might well be one of the best wines that the domaine has produced from this grand cru.
