Lovely dark ruby colour with bluish nuances. Superb, expressive, warm nose. The first nose features aromas of wild fruit (cherry, blueberry) and white-fleshed fruits (nectarine, peach). These are followed by bal- samic nuances (pine, cedar, heather), then spices (pepper) and a hint of tobacco. Finally, sweeter notes reminiscent of sugar-coated almonds, biscuits, brownies, and toasted bread surface. The magnificent start to the palate is warm and full, balanced by well-integrated acidity. The finish is reminiscent of f loral nuances (rose, peony, anemone), a touch of Russian leather and chocolate. The palate is long with dense tannins. This outstanding wine is best suited for cellaring and will reveal all of its character as it ages.
