This silky Highland sipper seems to glide on the palate. Aromatics include vanilla and caramel, with a faint smokiness. This is echoed on the palate, with vanilla leading into butterscotch that’s tinged with a light saline note, turning to peat smoke on the exhale. (Best Buy)

14-carat gold color shimmers with purity and oils. Tobacco-like aroma is dry to off-dry, grainy, slightly buttery/oily, with nuances of sawdust, oak plank, white pepper. Taste profile is loaded with focused grain flavors, especially malt, oatmeal/porridge, breakfast cereal toastiness. Very appealing malt of substance. (Tried & True) - 2015 ULTIMATE SPIRITS CHALLENGE

Butterscotch, vanilla, pepper, and citrus fruit emerge on the nose. A nutty, peppery palate features orchard fruits, chile spice, and a subtle meatiness. Lemon and oak tannins in the medium-length finish. - Summer 2020

Winery Notes

The quintessential Glen Garioch, Founder’s Reserve celebrates the brothers who first established the distillery and the 200 plus years of craftsmanship that goes into every bottle that bears the Manson name. Nose - Warm amber in appearance, sweet vanilla and subtle spice combine with fruitier green apple and grapefruits on the nose. Palete - Butter cream and vanilla pave the way to fruity green apple skin and citrus cleanliness, leading to an elegant and subtle finish.
