The 2022 Cerro Las Cuevas shows austerity and poise beyond what you expect from a torrid year. It was produced with a field blend of 75% Tempranillo, 15% Graciano and the rest Garnacha and Mazuelo. It's still 15% alcohol, but it goes unnoticed and comes through as balanced and with good freshness, serious and powerful, with ripe fruit, aromatic herbs and integrated oak after the 12 months it aged in French oak. 2,748 bottles and 48 magnums produced. It was bottled in June 2024.
