I tasted two vintages of the entry-level red, starting with the 2022 Crianza, a classical modern bland of 75% Tempranillo from the Sierra Cantabria zone and 20% Garnacha from Badarán. It's produced in an approachable way, with notes of berries, spice and licorice, a silky texture and a tender palate with good ripeness, 14.5% alcohol and integrated acidity. This is a textbook modern Crianza, and it's easy to drink. 150,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in March 2025.

The 2022 Crianza (75% Tempranillo, 25% Garnacha; Rioja Alta) was aged for 12 months in French and American oak. Cherry and plum emerge on the nose, framed by oak that adds depth while keeping the fruit at the center. On the palate, it is fresh, juicy and well proportioned, with fine tannins and an agile line driven by Garnacha’s acidity. Classical in outline but lively in execution.

Winery Notes

Cherry red with a medium layer. Clean and bright. Expressive nose with aromas of red fruit (cherry) and lactics. Fine and complex. Fresh and agile in the mouth with a superb fruitiness. Balanced.
