The 2022 Auxey-Duresses Blanc Les Hautés has turned out brilliantly in bottle, unfurling in the glass with aromas of yellow orchard fruit, citrus zest, white flowers and freshly baked bread, followed by a medium to full-bodied, dense and enveloping palate that’s taut and chalky, with lively acids and impressive reserved of structuring dry extract. As I wrote with regard to the 2020 vintage, at last, Lalou Bize-Leroy has a rival in Auxey-Duresses!
