There are few countries in the world with a viticultural history as long or as illustrious as that claimed by Italy. Indeed, Sicilian wineries are famed for their ability to capture something of the sun-drenched region in their wines, and the vines they cultivate benefit enormously from the almost constant sunshine and the incredibly fertile volcanic soils which typify the island.

A blend of 65% Grillo and 35% Carricante, the Le Casematte 2025 Sicilia Bianco Peloro is made exclusively in stainless steel. The wine comes from 3.5 hectares of clay and limestone soils at 250 to 450 meters above sea level. Apple and quince appear in a pure, crunchy form, giving the wine a tightly delineated feel. It is simple but bright, with a compact structure and a hint of latex. Production is 15,000 bottles.
