88-90 With 100% whole bunches, the 2021 Gevrey-Chambertin “Cuvée Bertin” has a crisp, tertiary, slightly smoky bouquet that opens gradually. It’s always defined by the stems at this stage. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannins and black fruit laced with tobacco. A pinch of black pepper, eases off towards a more elegant finish. Moderate length. Fine.
