A subtle but not invisible application of wood frames very ripe aromas of poached plum, black currant and earth. The plush, velvety and fleshy medium-bodied flavors exude evident minerality on the firm, palate coating and moderately chewy and rustic finale. This robust effort is clearly constructed to age and is a wine that will need at least some forbearance.
