Nicolas Jacob Cotes du Jura Poulsard Les Chazaux 2023 750ml Case of 6

Poulsard, or Ploussard, is a red grape primarily grown in the Jura region of France. It produces delicate wines known for their pale color, light body, and vibrant acidity. Poulsard wines often exhibit subtle red fruit flavors such as cranberry, raspberry, and strawberry, accompanied by floral and herbal notes. They are typically vinified as rosé or light red wines, with a gentle tannic structure and a refreshing, easy-drinking style. Unique to Poulsard is its transparency, allowing it to express the nuances of the Jura's cool climate and limestone soils. The grape's thin skin contributes to its pale color and delicate flavors, making it a favorite among those who appreciate finesse and elegance in wine. Poulsard wines are versatile at the table, pairing well with charcuterie, poultry, and lighter fare, offering a unique glimpse into the terroir of the Jura.
