Italy remains very much a 'land of wines', and one could not imagine this country, its landscape and culture, without it.

The 2023 Passi Di Orma has a youthful saturated red/magenta color and a delicate rustic edge on opening, with notes of dusty earth, red plum, saddle leather, and scrubby Mediterranean herbs. The palate is medium to full-bodied and angular in structure, with chalky tannins, refreshing acidity, and an earth-noted and fresh, herbaceous finish. I enjoy the complexity this Rosso provides with its rustic charm. It feels more Sangiovese-esque, with gripping tannins on the back end, but we’ll have to see what the blend is. Drink over the coming 7-8 years.

Our Bolgheri DOC, whose first vintage was in 2015. A blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc gives this wine a distinct and elegant personality.
