The 2019 Ludes Vieilles Vignes marks the debut release from Pauline Collin-Bérêche. Sourced from two hectares of estate-owned, old vines in Ludes, close to the village itself, which thrive in somewhat deeper soils, this cuvée is predominantly composed of Pinot Noir, complemented by 30% Chardonnay and 5% Petit Meslier. Disgorged in July 2024 without dosage but featuring four grams per liter of residual sugar, the wine exudes aromas of ripe pear, freshly baked bread and dried flowers, mingling with subtle exotic nuances. It presents as medium- to full-bodied, with an ample and textural profile, balanced by tangy acidity and with a nicely defined, mineral finish. The wine was vinified in second-hand 450-liter barrels sourced from a Meursault winemaker.
