Long-term Pre-arrival Items
Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.
Rapid Ship
Items listed as "rapid ship" are in stock and available for immediate pickup or shipment. Those that do not have the "rapid ship" icon are housed with our supplier and must be transferred to our warehouse before they can be picked up or shipped. This requires 4-6 business days but usually occurs sooner. Some products will list both options of availability as there will be a certain number in stock, with the option to order additional bottles to be transferred from the supplier.

There are few regions in the world with stricter regulations in regards to wine production and grape varietals than those found in Bordeaux, France. The second wine of Lafleur is the 2015 Lafleur Pensées de Lafleur and it’s not far off its big brother, certainly showing hints of that wine’s elegance and Style. Possessing a Chambolle-Musigny like feel in its red fruits, flowers, spice, and forest floor aromas and flavors, this beauty hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, a polished, seamless texture, and ultra-fine tannins. It’s a brilliant wine in its own right and will keep for two decades or more.

The 2015 Pensées de Lafleur has a clean and precise, mineral-driven bouquet that is razor-sharp. It feels tightly wound but the focus is certainly here. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannin, plenty of cedar and tobacco-tinged black fruit with a truffle and smoke infused finish that feels very long. Excellent. You hardly have to be told that this second wine of Château Lafleur is a stunning success in 2015. From just 0.68ha of vines - a diagonal strip on sandy gravel running across the vineyard - this is fresh, soft and utterly gorgeous. The harmony of the different elements is clear straight away - it's elegant, juicy, moreish, yet full of complexity. Hard to beat if you are looking for a Pomerol to drink over the next ten years. 20% new oak.

While Lafleur is based on the gravel soils in Pomerol, Pensees de la Fleur is made from the vines on clay. The 2015 Pensees is a blend of 54% Merlot and 46% Cabernet Franc with a medium to deep garnet color. The nose is quite closed, revealing, with much swirling, notes of plum preserves, licorice, and black cherries plus wafts of tar and forest floor. Full-bodied, rich and decadent, the palate is laden with densely packed black fruits, framed by ripe, velvety tannins, finishing long and spicy.

The 2015 Pensées de Lafleur is medium garnet-purple colored with a stunning nose of crushed black cherries, cassis and red currant jelly with lavender, charcuterie and truffles notions plus a waft of tobacco.
