This comes from Les Corbeaux, which is a well-sited parcel just north of Mazis-Chambertin. The ripeness is immediately evident here via aromas of ripe black plums, with an edge of wild herbs and bramble. On the palate there is a solid level of density and firm, slightly astringent tannins, but the wine has lovely depth of flavour and a pleasantly lingering finish.
