Rated 97 - Medium garnet colored, the 2022 Odyssee prances with showy notes of black cherries, raspberry coulis, and wild blueberries, opening out to a stunning perfume of violets, menthol, rose bud tea, and allspice. The full-bodied palate delivers a rock-solid structure of beautifully ripe, firm, grainy tannins and a refreshing line to frame the generous black, red, and blue fruit layers, finishing long and opulent. This is the finest vintage of this wine made since the inaugural 2015, and, while the production is tiny, it is well worth the hunt! Odyssée is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon from the northern Médoc with Grenache from the southern Rhône. It is the creation of Pierre Graffieulle, the managing director of Eutopia Estates (including Château Montrose and Clos Rougeard) and Rhône-based winemaker Matthieu Dumarcher. - Lisa Perrotti-Brown, The Wine Palate Rated 94 - Fragrant garrigue rises out of the glass on the first nose, totally delicious with savoury underbrush, liquorice and crushed rocks alongside raspberries, dried cherries, orange peel, bitter grilled rosemary, and black olive tapenade. A superb vintage from Pierre Graffeuille and Matthieu Dumarcher, owners and winemakers at this 3.2ha estate. Darkly herbal and chocolatey - quite a savoury spiced edge to the nose. Tobacco, leather, cedar and blackcurrants. Some animal notes coming from the Syrah with the fruit burst from the Cabernet. Tannins are clearly front and centre right now, they fill the entire mouth and create a massy expression although this extends vertically allowing the tannin finesse to shine through. Still compact with some bitterness. I love the ampleness here, and enjoyable salty, liquorice minerality. Winemakers Pierre Graffeuille and Matthieu Dumarcher.

The 2022 Odyssée is made from Cabernet Sauvignon from the Médoc and Grenache (plus a small amount of other varieties) from the Southern Rhône. Made by Pierre Graffeuille of Château Montrose, it's a beautifully pure, textured wine with lots of red and black fruits, graphite, roasted herbs, chocolate, and violets. Medium to full-bodied, it's supple and layered, with great balance and depth. The purity is top-notch, and it should drink well for 10-12 years.

A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache Noir and Carignan, the 2022 Odyssée reveals aromas of dark berries, violet, cassis and flowers. Medium- to full-bodied, juicy and elegant, it is beautifully layered, framed by velvety tannins and animated by delicate acidity, concluding with a long, perfumed finish.
