This is riper still though not so much that it loses freshness on the black cherry liqueur aromas that display background nuances of cassis, anise and violet. There is better verve and freshness on the palate of the medium weight plus flavors that possess excellent density on the suave yet powerful, sappy and youthfully austere finale. This is very much built-to-age and a wine that’s going to need at least 6 to 8 years first.
