The 2022 Chablis Mont de Milieu 1er Cru has a tightly wound nose with a hint of seaweed (Japanese wakame) infusing the malic aromas. The palate is taut and fresh, crisp and linear with fine grip, quite classical in style, which is amazing in such a hot growing season. Real nervosité and tension on the sapid finish—superb. Bottled under Diam 30. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.
