From Le Mesnil sur Oger, Savart’s 2017 Extra Brut Haute Couture is showing very well, bursting with aromas of citrus oil, confit peach, white flowers, buttered toast and almond paste. Full-bodied, rich and vinous, with a layered core of ripe, fleshy fruit and a long, expansive finish, it’s one of the high points of the range.
