Based in a castle, this is the winery’s flagship wine, a 100% Tempranillo of tremendous sophistication. The 2021 Senorio De Cuzcurrita is from 35-year-old bush vines and is aged 12 months in new, second, and third-year Bordeaux-style casks followed by six months in concrete before bottling. It then spends two years in bottle. Sweet tannins embrace sultry red fruit and light notes of baking spice and herb. Limited in production, the wine is full-bodied and extremely refined, made by legendary winemaker Ana Martin Onzain. Age 10-15 years.

Winery Notes

It has outstanding dark black-cherry colour, an intense nose of ripe red-berry fruit and hints of spices from the oak casks. Smooth tannins wrap around the mouth and leave a long, lingering finish.
