A more deeply pitched nose combines airy and fresh aromas of plum, red and cassis and more forest floor and earth scents that are trimmed in slightly more evident wood influence. The succulent and punchy medium-bodied flavors display notably better mid-palate concentration as the old vines are in evidence, all wrapped in an attractively textured and balanced finale. This is a fine Gevrey villages and worth considering.
