The 2020 Las Notas de Jean Claude combines 78% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc, 6% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Petit Verdot and 2% Malbec. The nose offers a lifted, composed mixture of dusty black fruits, baking chocolate and an earth-driven undercurrent. The palate is silky and refined, displaying equal parts saturated richness and intensely focused energy. It concludes with a balanced, measured and impressively energetic finish that continuously gains dimension and length in the glass. This is a beautiful nod to Right Bank Bordeaux and should age effortlessly over the next decade.
