Made with Carricante, the Tenuta Tascante 2025 Etna Bianco Buonora shows the lovely precision and balance of the vintage. There is lots of citrusy definition with lemon zest, grapefruit and green apple followed by white peach, wild mint, crushed volcanic stone and a salty mineral note. The wine is sharp and laser-focused, with bright acidity and terrific clarity throughout. The 2025 growing season saw a good balance of rain and warmth at the right times, a welcome change following the more difficult 2023 and 2024 vintages, when downy mildew and heat reduced yields considerably. Buonora is a blend of Carricante from vineyards on Etna's north side, with a predominance of fruit from Sciaranuova. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel without malolactic fermentation, followed by four months on the lees in steel.

Buonora is Tenuta Tascante’s white wine from Mount Etna’s indigenous Carricante grape variety. Historically prized for its high acidity and abundant productivity, Carricante is a multi-faceted grape that ripens late and gains complexity with ageing. Grapes for the Tenuta Tascante Buonora are sourced from cool-climate vineyards on the north and east faces of the volcano’s slopes.
