The Balvenie Scotch Single Malt 14 Year Caribbean Cask 200ml

A big and bold malt whisky revealing scents of roasted walnuts and hazelnuts, orange peel, caramel, peach, banana bread, and cocoa. Ultra rich and silky on the palate with exotic spices and tropical fruit supporting the sweet malt core. Brilliant.

After regular maturation, this Scotch is “extra matured” in former rum casks. The end result layers rich, mouth-coating dried apricot, honey and Sherry notes on top of Balvenie's usual caramel and light peat profile. It finishes flavorful, though with a distinct burst of alcohol warmth.

Tropical fruit aromas spill from the glass: baked pineapple, strawberry-banana smoothie, orange peel, raisins, then a hint of sawdust. The palate is a decadent dessert spread, with rum-soaked fruitcake joined by chocolate truffles, raspberry coulis, cocoa powder, Nutella, and chocolate jellies. A touch of vanilla and strawberry milk on the lengthy finish; sure to further please chocolate lovers with rich chocolate frosting and chocolate mousse.
