The Dalmore Scotch Single Malt Cigar Malt Reserve 750ml

TOP 100 SPIRITS 2015. Aged in a series of barrels—first American oak, then transferred to a former oloroso Sherry cask and finished in used Cabernet Sauvignon barriques—this Scotch would be an outstanding dessert accompaniment too. Look for dusty cocoa and lots of Sherried dark fruit, like figs and dates, wrapped in caramel and baking tones that linger on the spicy finish.

A robust and full-bodied malt that lives up to its promise of being a cigar pairing. Notes of burnt walnut, caramelized sugar, and dried figs dominate the palate. The finish is explosive and long. This is not a dram for the faint of heart, but for those, especially, who have time and a lit maduro. - 2019 ULTIMATE SPIRITS CHALLENGE

Aged in a mix of American white oak barrels, oloroso casks, and cabernet sauvignon barriques. Sherry, vanilla, caramel, ripe cherries, and sultanas on the nose. The palate yields characteristic Dalmore orange, plus brittle toffee, bitter chocolate, and cherry liqueur. Spicy licorice and soft oak in the finish. - Summer 2019

The Dalmore Cigar Malt Reserve is the perfect accompaniment to the finest cigars. The spirit is initially matured in American white oak ex-Bourbon casks, yielding soft vanilla and honey notes. A proportion of the liquid remains in ex-Bourbon casks whilst the balance is apportioned between the finest Gonzalez Byass Sherry casks, previously holding 30-Year Old Matusalem Oloroso Sherry, and Cabernet Sauvignon wine barriques. The three styles are then expertly brought together to perfectly combine their unique characteristics and flavours
