The 2022 Savennieres Les Vignes Cendrees is a powerful, ripe and focused style that buzzes with electric acidity and pulls tightly together with citrus and salinity on the finish. It has a nervy, restrained nose of iodine, brine and green-orange citrus. Smoky notes, tangerine and nectarine fill the mouth with fragrance. This is one for the long haul. It was matured in foudres, but there's no new oak.

• Practicing biodynamic. • 100% Chenin Blanc. • From the village of Savennieres. • Planted in 2015. • Grown on grey schist and rhyolite (volcanic soil), with more more clay. • Indigenous yeast. • No malo. • Aged in 1-3 year old 350l and 500l barrels.
