91-93 Bright red-ruby. Perfumed, high-pitched nose is much less forthcoming–but more ethereal–than that of the Charmes-Chambertin. Sappy, sophisticated wine with a savory, slightly high-toned quality and perfectly integrated acidity to give it lift and clarity. The tannins are fine-grained, allowing the finish to mount slowly and coat the mouth. Lovely calcaire energy here.
