The more approachable entry-level red 2022 Finca San Martín is a varietal Tempranillo from the younger vines that fermented in stainless steel and matured in 60% new American oak barrels and 40% second-use French oak barrels for 16 months, during which time it was racked three times. This year, it has a little less alcohol (14%), a pH of 3.71 and 5.5 grams of acidity, keeping the balance and freshness. It seems to be a lighter year and is quite straightforward but keeping the balance and poise. It's easy to drink and doesn't show any ripeness or heat. It has a little bit too much oak for the lighter wine maybe... 250,000 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2025.

The 2022 Crianza Finca San Martín (100% Tempranillo; Rioja) was aged for one year in used French and American oak. On the nose, fresh plum and forest floor notes meet soft vanilla from oak. The palate is dry and firm, with moderate grip and a slightly tightened frame. Gently loosening through the mid-palate, it offers a balance between volume and structure. Well executed.
