The 2022 Cocodrilo Corte is a blend driven by its 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, followed by 22% Cabernet Franc, 5% Malbec, and 1% Syrah, the latter from a cool spot with stony soils. The grapes are fermented and pressed separately and aged 14 months in 15% new French oak barrels, with the rest in second- and third-year barrels. With a strong herbal character, it shines in notes of pencil shavings, tobacco, and dried herb. The redcurrant, black cherry, and plum give the wine a juicy underbelly supported by integrated tannin, while the Syrah adds an undeniable hint of white pepper. This is great wine at a great price with the potential to age 10-12 years.

It opens with a harmonious nose of red and black fruits with accents of dried herbs, tobacco and coffee beans, followed by a supple, polished texture and a fresh, pleasantly drying finish. It's a blend of 72% Cabernet, 22% Cabernet Franc, 5% Malbec and 1% Syrah.
