Long Term Pre-arrival Definition: Ordering wine directly through us from our supplier partners in Europe in advance of the item’s physical arrival in the US.
Long Term Pre-arrival sales ensure you’re getting the best possible price and that you have also secured the product before it hits the normal retail supply chain. The lead time for Pre-arrival goods is generally 4–8 months, sometimes longer based on supply chain and the logistics of transporting goods overseas. The expectation, from our team, is to communicate to the customer the location of their purchase every step of the way.
This product is offered as a full case purchase option, minimum order quantities may be applicable. When available, multiple case options will be presented. If you are purchasing a Pre-Arrival item you must order a solid case.

The 2021 Meursault 1er Cru Les Charmes Dessus stands out this year, unwinding in the glass with notes of sweet yellow orchard fruit mingled with waxy citrus, pear and pastry. Medium to full-bodied, satiny and fleshy, it’s racy and tensile, with excellent density and a long, saline finish.
Of all the white wine grape varietals, surely the one that has spread the furthest and is most widely appreciated is Chardonnay. This green-skinned grape is now grown all over the Old and New Worlds, from New Zealand to the Americas, from England to Chile, and is one of the first varietals people think of when considering white wine grapes. Perhaps this is because of its huge popularity, which reached a peak in the 1990s, thanks to new technologies combining with traditional methods to bring the very best features out of the Chardonnay grape and allow its unique qualities to shine through. Most fine Chardonnay wines use a process known as malolactic fermentation, wherein the malic acids in the grape juice are converted to lactic acids, allowing a creamier, buttery nature to come forward in the wine. No grape varietal is better suited to this process than Chardonnay, which manages to balance these silky, creamy notes with fresh white fruit flavors beautifully.

The beautifully and unforgettable French region of Cote De Beaune has been revered throughout the centuries, and recognized as one of the key producer's of the world's finest white wines. The region is highly respected as an excellent producer of Chardonnay wines, and the Chardonnay grapes which grow there, on the southern slopes of the Cote d'Or, are packed full of the unique and powerful characteristics of this very special terroir. Interestingly, Cote De Beaune produces more red wine than white wine, despite its white wines being so famous. The red wines of Cote De Beaune are mainly made from Pinot Noir, but are relatively very light and fruity in their character, perfect for sipping on a warm, sunny day alongside a wide range of foods.

90-93 A very Meursault nose combines notes of hazelnut and acacia blossom with those of citrus peel and white orchard fruit, all of which is trimmed in enough wood to notice. There is an excellent sense of underlying tension to the utterly delicious medium weight flavors that exude a subtle minerality on the citrusy, sneaky long and youthfully austere finish. This is sufficiently firm to repay up to a decade of keeping. In a word, lovely.

90-92 The 2021 Meursault Les Charmes-Dessus 1er Cru has an attractive bouquet with linden, grilled hazelnut and light chalk dust scents that unfurl with time in the glass. The palate is well balanced with a slightly tangy opening, fine acidity and much more character than the Meursault-Blagny with a persistent, orange rind and marmalade-tinged finish. Very fine.
Winery Notes
Honey, toasted bread aromas. Good and strong structure in mouth.
