The 2023 Riesling Schloss is clear and light yet also intensely fruity, but it might still be too sulfurous if you are not used to those reductive flavors (which the Moselans euphemize as an expression of terroir). Based on grapes from the Ruwer yet predominantly on the Mosel, this is a light, round, elegant, well-balanced and textured Riesling with fine grip, good bitters and juicy, savory fruit. Bottled with 26 milligrams of free sulfur dioxide. 11.5% stated alcohol. Screw cap. Tasted at the domaine in January 2026.
