About Casa Larga Vineyard and Winery
It takes about four years for vines to mature enough to produce good wine-quality fruit, so the first harvest came in 1978, along with three awards at the New York State Wine Competition. Since then Casa Larga wines have won over 160 awards in state, regional and international competitions, continuing a heritage of excellence in winemaking. Casa Larga has set their standards at producing world-class quality wines and have demonstrated this over the past 25 years. Vinifera grapes such as Johannisberg Riesling and Chardonnay are the major varieties grown at Casa Larga.
Casa Larga Winery Meritage
This is an elite classification of American wines produced from the traditional Bordeaux grape varieties. To create our Casa Larga Meritage, we blend Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc wines together to form a well balanced wine that is enjoyable now, but will continue to grow rich with age. A wonderful accompaniment to hearty steaks, flavored ribs, grilled lamb and rustic cheeses.
Casa Larga Vineyards Due Mille
Our wine for the new millennium! Due Mille is a 1996 vintage and a meritage of three red wines: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. We've carefully blended these estate-grown grapes to produce a soft but full-bodied red wine which will grow more rich and complex with age. Celebrate the new millennium with a hand-etched bottle of Due Mille and our custom millennium design.
