Clark Claudon Winery 1996 Cabernet Sauvignon

Considering most wines from Napa now a days are fruit driven, I really enjoyed this big, thick and tannic Cab. I watched evolve in the bottle and glass for two hours and loved every minute of it. Luckily I have another bottle to keep for 10 -15 years.

Clark Claudon Winery 1998 Cabernet Sauvignon

An incredible 1998 Cabernet Sauvignon, Clark Claudon Winery has proven that even in what is considered as off year, amazing wines can be produced. An opaque purple color is accompanied by a fabulous bouquet of blackberries, blueberries, and cassis intermixed with camphor and new wood. This beautifully balanced, rich, full-bodied Cabernet is a model of symmetry and purity. A seamless classic, it can be drunk now or cellared for another 15+ years.

Clark Claudon Winery 1999 Cabernet Sauvignon

Medium red. Currant, dark chocolate, menthol and a whiff of game on the nose. Juicy on entry, then firm-edged and cool, with bitter cherry and floral flavors nicely framed by brisk acidity. Has a penetrating quality, but ultimately comes off as a bit lean, even tart, in the middle palate and a tad dry on the finish.
