Professional Wine Reviews for Sato No Homare Pride Of Village Junmai Ginjo Sake NV

Rated 89 by Stephen Tanzer
Very pale greenish-yellow color. Highly aromatic nose combines lime, apple, pear, strawberry, herbs, mint and licorice, along with a whiff of wet paint that may put
off veteran saké drinkers. Then high-toned in the mouth, with very good juiciness and cut to the assertive flavors. No doubt a controversial style for its exaggerated aromatic qualities. From the oldest active brewery in Japan.

Additional Information on Sato No Homare Pride Of Village Junmai Ginjo Sake NV

Winery: Sato No Homare

Country: Japan

The rice wines and plum wines of Japan are amongst the most fascinating, aromatic and seductive national drinks in the world, and it is a testament to the traditional practices and expertise of the producers of these beverages that their popularity is continuing to rise across the globe. Both plum wines and sake are produced in many parts of Japan, and there are even several AOC style appellations dedicated to producing plum wines and sake of the highest quality, overseen by regulations similar to those found in esteemed wine regions of France and elsewhere. Both drinks are inextricably linked with the cuisine of Japan, but both are also highly enjoyable when drank without food, giving the drinker a real taste of the beauty of the far east.
