Deep ruby. Dark blue berry fruit nose, forest fruits and fresh earth. Aromas reminiscent of taking a walk through a forest in autumn. The palate is broad, richly fruited, currants and glacé cherries laced with cinnamon spice and nutmeg. Autumnal, a wine promising the arrival of the holiday season. The Petit Verdot and Cabernet tannins are present and firm, but also ripe and generous, encasing the Malbec fruit rather than dominating it. The finish is persistent and warming. a truly hearty and heartening wine.

The 2018 Red Blend Dragon's Tooth is delicious Malbec-based blend. Pliant, juicy and super-expressive, the 2018 has a so much to offer. Ripe red cherry, mocha and spice all open up in a mid-weight, succulent wine loaded with character. Drink it over the next handful of years.

Based largely on Malbec blended with 27% Petit Verdot and 24% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2018 Red Blend Dragon's Tooth offers lots of smoked black fruits, toasty oak, chocolate, and darker, herbal, cedary notes to go with medium to full-bodied richness on the palate. The Petit Verdot becomes more obvious with time in the glass, and this rich, concentrated, yet elegant red blend has plenty to love. It's terrific today with a decant yet should easily evolve for a decade or more.

An estate blend of 49% Malbec, 27% Petit Verdot and 24% Cabernet Sauvignon off the winery's Oak Knoll vineyard, the 2018 Dragon's Tooth Red Wine easily marries vanilla and black cherry notes on the nose. In the mouth, it's round and mouthfilling but not that richly textured, turning more tannic on the finish.

From estate grown Malbec, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Sauvignon, this wine is lush in red and blue fruit, with a backbone of acidity. Balanced, the tannins are dense and supple and the oak brimming in baking spice.
