The wonderful bouquet offers scents of walnuts, dried flowers, dried pears and white raisins. Palate entry is languid, oily, buttery and decadently rich; the silky, rich midpalate exhibits complete flavor integration with prune and raisin tastes. Finishes extended, smooth as satin, medium-weighted and a bit caramel-like. Love it. (Best Buy) ... More details

This XO is one of the most consistent, finest bottlings from the Big Four. The color of cherry wood, with lots of dried fruit, leather, burnt sugar and soft nutty rancio on the complex nose. In the mouth, it’s generous, warm and round, featuring gingerbread, toasted almond, creamy cocoa and notes of citrus and spice. Soft structure and mouthfeel, and so drinkable. Great value for an XO level Cognac.

Dark and caramelized aromas are spicy and rich. Thick with spice, the flavors are reminiscent of sandalwood and cigar box with sweet cream and coffee and roasted peaches showing through on the finish. (Finalist) (Tried & True) - 2015 ULTIMATE SPIRITS CHALLENGE

The legendary cognac Martell Cordon Bleu is an international emblem of excellence. Ideal for special occasions, the taste of this French cognac is an explosion of spicy fruit notes and elegant richness. The Color Deep, golden copper. The Aroma Vibrant, rich and complex, with orchard fruit – candied plum and apple – harmonising with roasted notes of mocha coffee, toasted almonds and vetiver. The Taste An exceptionally rounded, mellow sensation further enhanced by Borderies eaux-de-vie, which lend elegance and complexity. An impressively long finish characterised by notes of fruit and spices.

Country: France

French winemakers are subjected to several laws and regulations regarding the wines they produce, and how they can be labeled and sold. Such procedures are designed to increase the overall quality of the country's produce, and also to ensure that wines made in each particular region or appellation are of a character and type which is representative of the area. Thankfully for consumers of wine world-wide, the French have a particularly high reputation to uphold, and seem to do so flawlessly. Every year, wineries from all over France produce millions upon millions of bottles of fine wine, making the most of their native grape varieties and the excellent terrain which covers most of the country. From the expensive and exquisite red wines of Bordeaux and Burgundy, to the white wines and cremants of central France, the French are dedicated to providing the world with wines of the highest quality and most distinctive character.
